Pacific Fusion is seeking an exceptional Timing Systems Lead to join our dynamic team and lead the integrated timing and fiducial system for our demonstration fusion system. You will collaborate with engineers and scientists towards our demonstration of ignition and high-gain targets for fusion energy applications.
Responsibilities :
The main responsibility of the Timing System Lead is to design, test, and implement an integrated timing system to synchronize multiple pulsed-power modules and various advanced diagnostic systems across the facility. Strong candidates will have the following core responsibilities :
- Develop designs for the large-scale integrated timing system and fiducial using custom or vendor provided instrumentation and control solutions.
- Prepare system design descriptions, and present designs to management.
- Develop user interface specifications and designs for both hardware and software.
- Perform installation and commissioning to bring designed systems into operation, including generation and execution of formal functional test procedures.
- Document all designs and maintain system configuration control.
- Participate in formal and informal design reviews.
- Maintain a close interface with the diagnostic and pulser engineering and science teams
