Position Summary
The True North Strategy Principal plays a key role in the organization by keeping PG&E focused at it's long term objectives, enabling meaningful improvements and impacts for its customers and shareholders over time
The role leads strategic development, guidance, and decision-making support throughout the enterprise. It will set and implement a standard approach across these areas, improving organizational interdependence, ownership, and quality. This person will work closely with senior executives, along with line of business planning functions across the company, to maintain high transparency and alignment of these impacts.
The True North Strategy Principal is responsible for driving cohesive long-term strategy across multiple lines of business and layers of organizational hierarchy, facilitating executive decision making to drive progress.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $136,000
Bay Area Maximum: $232,000
And/or
California Minimum: $129,000
California Maximum: $220,000
Job Responsibilities
- Manages strategy development process facilitation across the enterprise
- Improve strategic decision quality through standardization and management
- Pressure test business unit strategies
- Ensure common factbase is used across all business units
- Drives strategic alignment and interdependence as strategy moves to implementation
- Owns business development priorities until they can be handed off to the relevant BU
- Engages with BU strategy & planning teams on industry trend research
- Ensures common fact bases for Bus is developed
- Manages internal consulting for BUs/functions to support strategy development
- Ensures coordination across strategic efforts by managing engagement / communications calendar and facilitating intra-company communication

Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Sociology, Policy, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience.
