The Medical Biller will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our practice while providing exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Pubmit medical billing claims accurately using ICD-10 coding systems.
- Review patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is complete for billing purposes.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in medical records or billing information.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and manage collections for outstanding balances.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve any issues related to claims processing or payments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of billing activities, payments received, and outstanding accounts.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and coding practices.
- Familiarity with ICD-10, and other relevant coding systems is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using medical office software and billing systems.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
