Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our construction firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction accounting principles and proficiency in financial software. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using double entry bookkeeping methods.
- Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Collaborate with management to provide insights into financial performance and assist in budgeting processes.
- Utilize accounting software, such as Sage, to streamline bookkeeping processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar construction accounting role.
- Strong understanding of debits and credits, financial concepts, and corporate accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial software applications is essential.
- Experience with payroll processing and general ledger reconciliation is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
