JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable duties include managing outgoing bills and invoices on behalf of the company. These bills might include utility payments, product or inventory invoices, employee expense accounts and reimbursements. Some of the other specific duties associated with this position include:
- Updating and maintaining records of expenditures
- Responding to vendor invoices
- Ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy.
- Ensuring that all payments are sent on time.
- Resolving payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company
Back-up for Accounts Receivable duties include managing incoming payments on behalf of the company. Accounts Receivable Specialists accomplish this objective by performing the following tasks:
- Preparing and mailing invoices to customers
- Posting payments to customer accounts
- Organizing and filing deposit receipts as invoices are paid.
- Preparing reports on delinquent accounts and customer payment profiles
- Reconciling cash receipts and deposits
- Analyzing financial records for accuracy
- At least 2 years of experience in A/P at a high volume required.
- Must be at an expert level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new computer programs.
- Online QuickBooks experience required.
- Experience in accounting and GL processing a plus.
- Must be a team player, that is organized, can multi-task and prioritize their workload.
- Must be a problem solver, with the ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE
- FLSA Status: Non-exempt, Hourly
- Full time position – 5 days per week
- Hours: Day shift – 7:30 am - 4:30 pm or 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
