Department: Grant Writer/Funding Locator
Location: Remote (California-based role)

Key Responsibilities
Grant Research and Identification
- Lead the entire grant writing process, including researching, drafting, editing, submitting, and tracking grant applications.
- Develop comprehensive and compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with grant requirements and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals, including budgets, narratives, and supporting documentation.
- Tailor proposals to meet the specific criteria and goals of each funding opportunity.
- Track and manage all grant application deadlines to ensure timely submissions.
Funding Locator.
- Research and recommend diverse funding opportunities, including philanthropic donations, corporate sponsorships, and program-specific grants.
- Build and maintain relationships with funding organizations and key stakeholders.
- Grant Compliance and Management
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including financial and programmatic reporting.
- Monitor grant deliverables, deadlines, and outcomes to maintain compliance with funders’ expectations.
- Track and report on the status of current and pending grants to leadership.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align grant proposals with organizational objectives and ensure seamless execution of funded projects.
- Work closely with program managers and finance teams to ensure accurate budgeting and reporting.
- Strategic Planning
- Assist leadership in identifying funding gaps and developing strategies to secure financial support.
- Provide insights into funding trends and opportunities to guide long-term financial planning.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (required).
- Advanced degree or certification in grant writing (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in healthcare, including health plan or large provider delivery systems.
- 3 years of proven experience in grant writing, proposal development, and funding research, with a demonstrated ability to manage the entire grant writing process.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify and assess funding opportunities.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Knowledge of grant application processes for federal, state, and private funding sources.
- Proficiency in grant management software and tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
Other Requirements
- Must reside in California to ensure familiarity with state-specific healthcare laws and regulations.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with occasional travel for in-person meetings or to represent the organization with funders.
- Must have experience creating contracts from A-Z
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $68,000 - $71,000 annually.
Bonus & Commission: Eligible and discretionary
