Radiology Associates is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our radiology imaging team. The NP will play a key role in patient assessment, procedure preparation, contrast administration oversight, and post-procedure monitoring to ensure patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will have experience in radiology, emergency medicine, or a related specialty.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-procedure evaluations and assess patients for contraindications to imaging studies involving contrast media.
- Assist in the administration and monitoring of contrast agents, ensuring patient safety and proper protocol adherence.
- Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures, expected outcomes, and post-procedure care.
- Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to manage patients with complex medical conditions.
- Respond to and manage adverse reactions to contrast materials and other procedural complications.
- Perform minor procedures, such as IV placements or biopsies (if within scope of practice).
- Review and document patient medical histories, lab results, and diagnostic findings.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in California.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP (AGNP), or Acute Care NP (ACNP) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in radiology, emergency medicine, critical care, or a related field.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Experience with contrast media administration and adverse reaction management is a plus.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
