PIRE has a significant national presence in the area of applied science, with funded research projects at its centers on prevention, treatment, and policy research. PIRE scientists and practitioners continually focus on the design and implementation of complex program evaluation strategies and the conduct of research related to health and social issues, and criminal justice. PIRE practitioners and scientists provide training and technical assistance in many health-related areas to states and communities that are attempting to improve public health. Position Summary
PIRE is an independent, nonprofit organization merging scientific knowledge and proven practice to create solutions that improve the health, safety and well-being of individuals, communities, and nations around the world.
PIRE's Southwest Center is currently engaged in a 9-month, federally funded project that is dedicated to identifying necessary knowledge and infrastructure needed to support TSLGBTQIA Indigenous communities in Santa Fe County.
We are seeking a part-time (50% FTE) Research Associate II who will support the research team in implementing and coordinating this project at the Santa Fe Indigenous Center. The pay range for this temporary part-time position is $23.25-$25.25. There is no relocation assistance for this position.
Job Requirements
- Must live in the Santa Fe, NM metropolitan area
- Associate's degree or two year University / College equivalent required; or 2 years of applicable Social Science experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal / written communication, organization, and presentation skills
- Eligible to work for any employer in the US
