Pacific International has been exclusively retained to support a global leader in the manufacturing space to bring in a Manufacturing Engineering Senior Manager for their New York plant. This organization spans multiple sectors, including heating, cooling, and power solutions, serving industrial, commercial, and residential markets. This is their power solutions / semiconductor business focussed on the Automotive sector.
The Manufacturing Engineering Senior Manager will lead a team of engineers (16) to execute a series of manufacturing engineering projects. This role is focused on deploying engineering resources to drive new product launches, implement process improvements, and enhance yield, output, and efficiency.
Additionally, the manager will cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers and equipment vendors, proactively addressing any issues in service delivery. As a vital member of the management team, this leader will set high standards by championing data-driven analysis and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with peers across locations to share knowledge, qualify new processes, and integrate new equipment in alignment with IATF 16949 standards.
- Serve as the engineering lead for the site, coordinating efforts with R&D and Supply Chain teams across locations.
- Provide daily leadership and feedback to engineering staff, supporting training and professional development.
- Guide the team in continuous improvement efforts to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Direct the transfer of new products from development stages or other manufacturing sites to the production facility.
- Champion best engineering practices and foster strong collaboration with Quality, Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and other departments.
