Job Title: Data Architect
We are seeking a talented Data Architect to join our team at Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE.
About the Role:
This is a hybrid role that involves empowering employees to work both in and out of the office. As a Data Architect, you will accelerate our data initiatives by bringing modern technical solutions forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, develop, optimize, and maintain the data architecture, data models, and standards for various Data Engineering projects.
- Understand data needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals, translating them into effective data solutions.
- Ensure new features and subject areas are modeled to integrate with existing structures and provide a consistent view.
- Develop and maintain documentation of the data architecture, data flows, and data models appropriate for various audiences.
- Provide direction on adoption and maturation of Cloud technologies (AWS, Snowflake, etc.) and industry best practices in the field of data warehouse architecture and modeling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, with a Master's degree in Computer Science or Data Science preferred.
- 10 years of experience in delivering end-to-end cloud-based modern data engineering solutions, including data modeling, multi-dimensional enterprise data warehouses using Snowflake or similar platforms.
- 10 years of experience using SQL and knowledge of database objects such as stored procedures, materialized views.
- Successfully implemented data architecture patterns using best practices.
- Proficient with multiple databases, including cloud and on-premises, and experience in Agile methodologies.
