We’re actively seeking a talented Quality Assurance and Engineering Lead to join our Tech Communications team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE office.
This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.
As a Quality Assurance and Engineering Lead you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by leading a team of testers and automation engineers while collaborating with development and product teams. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of fifteen people in the Corporate division supporting CMD technology. Your colleagues will include fellow technology professionals. This role is responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing.

Base Pay Range
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$134,280.00 - $164,120.00

How You’ll Help Move Us Forward
- Lead and mentor a team of QA and QE professionals, fostering a culture of quality.
- Define and implement testing strategies, best practices, and quality standards.
- Oversee manual and exploratory testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Manage defect tracking, triage, and resolution processes, working closely with development teams.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for functional, regression, API, and performance testing.
- Drive shift-left and agile testing methodologies, ensuring early defect detection in the development lifecycle.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be a team player as well as a team leader.
- 7 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance & Quality Engineering.
- 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- Expertise in manual testing, test case design, and defect management.
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD integration and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Life Insurance and Annuites Industry Experience.
- Experience in Customer Communications Management (CCM) and Commissions & Licensing Systems.
- ISTQB or other QA/QE certifications.
