Job Title: Plastic Maintenance Technician

3rd Shift Scheduled: 6:30p to 6:30a

• 4/3-day schedule, consisting of 48 hours one week & 36 hours the next week.
• On the short week they can work additional hours to reach the 40 hours.
• Sunday hours are Double time after 40 hours are reached.

Pay: 3rd shift is $28-$30 ( 11.5% shift Differential can be included)

Job Overview

This position plays a crucial role in the production of high-quality plastic components. The Plastic Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machinery, performing precision machining tasks, and ensuring strict quality control standards are met. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Injection Molding: Operate and maintain injection molding machines, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Machining: Perform machining tasks using hand tools, press brake machines, and CNC equipment.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections, utilizing measuring tools to ensure product dimensions and tolerances meet specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance on injection molds and related equipment.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to resolve equipment issues and optimize production processes.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Other Duties: Assist with warehouse operations as needed, participate in 5S activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Strong understanding of injection molding principles and processes.
• Experience with machining techniques (e.g., hand tools, CNC machines).
• Proficiency in using measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with press brake machines and logic controllers.
• Knowledge of injection mold die design and maintenance.
• Experience with welding and heat treatment techniques.
• Experience with warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Basic math and computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
