Overview
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dedicated team. Duties
- Provide direct patient care through individual and group therapy sessions.
- Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient.
- Utilize evidence-based practices in psychotherapy, including behavioral therapy and grief counseling.
- Offer specialized support for patients dealing with PTSD and other trauma-related conditions.
- Engage in child family counseling to support the mental health of children and their families.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the hospital setting to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health practices, including ICD-10 coding for diagnoses.
Requirements
- A valid QMHP certification or equivalent qualification in mental health.
- Proven experience in patient care, specifically in psychotherapy and behavioral therapy.
- Familiarity with PTSD care and grief counseling techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating empathy and compassion towards patients.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills.
