Salary Information:

Assistant Professor: Annual Minimum Salary-$158,300-Annual Maximum Salary-$190,000 for Full Time Status 

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.

The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five state region.

General Summary:

The Assistant/Associate/Professor of Dentistry, Oral Radiology, will provide clinical and classroom instruction in oral radiology to pre-doctoral dental students on our main campus in Yakima, and at our community-based clinics in Yakima, Kennewick, and Tacoma, Washington. Academic rank will be awarded based on clinical and academic experience.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides classroom, simulation and clinical instruction in oral radiology

• Provide service to the school and university through participation on committees, etc.

• Perform research/scholarly activity

• Performs other related duties as assigned and based on school needs

Requirements

Education:

• Required: DMD/DDS

Experience:

• Required: Minimum 3 years of clinical practice or teaching experience

• Required: Specialty Certification in oral radiology from a CODA-accredited program

• Required: Board certification in oral radiology is desired

• Preferred: Academic/clinical teaching experience

• Required: Licensure and specialty certification in periodontics in Washington State

• Preferred: Clinical skills experience
