We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant with Front Desk and Scribe Experience. Job Description:
As a Medical Assistant with Front Desk and Scribe Experience, you will:
Assist healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including:
Medical history and physical exam notes
Procedures and treatments
Patient education and instructions
Physician-dictated diagnoses and prescriptions
Referral letters as directed
Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and assisting with minor procedures.
Manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, verifying insurance, and collecting payments.
Use ChatGPT to complete portions of patient documentation and create reports or recommendations for referring entities.
Utilize JotForm for intake forms and other online tools effectively.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly, professionally, and compassionately.
Utilize bilingual skills to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and assist with translation as needed.
Collaborate with the medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations.
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
Previous experience working in a pain management office is a plus.
Experience in medical assisting, administrative tasks, and scribing in a clinical setting.
Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal) is essential.
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with EMR systems, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), and JotForm.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Outstanding customer service skills with a patient-first attitude.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
Familiarity with writing clear instructions for AI tools like ChatGPT is an advantage.
HIPAA certification (training and certification will be provided if not already obtained).
Pre-med students or aspiring NPs and PAs are encouraged to apply.
