Summary:

Pacific Park is seeking a Security Supervisor that thrives in a team environment and consistently provides great customer service. The Security Supervisor is responsible for the safety and security of the guests and employees of Pacific Park by enforcing all rules and policies. The Security Supervisor is responsible for the daily activity of Security Officers and Leads as well as the daily security operations as directed by the Security Manager and Park Duty Managers.

Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier is LA’s only admission free amusement park that offers 12 amusement rides, 15 midway games, an oceanfront food plaza and dynamic retail experiences. The ever-popular Park and iconic Pier enjoy more than 8.5 million visitors annually. In addition to the Pacific Wheel, the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel, Pacific Park’s signature rides include The West Coaster, a steel roller coaster that races 55 feet above the Santa Monica Bay. The Park is operated by more than 500 team members, which includes full-time and seasonal positions featuring a highly diverse, dynamic and passionate team. 

Reporting:

This position reports directly to the Security Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The primary responsibility of the Security Supervisor is to successfully maintain the safety and security of Pacific Park, its employees and guests.
• Under the direction of the Security Manager, the Security Supervisor will assist with the overall completion of the physical security operations. This includes assisting with the selection of personnel, operational assignments, training and equipment.
• Supervise the training of new employees, including all documentation, the status of the trainee and reporting all results to the Security Manager.
• Coordinates administrative requirements to include, but not limited to, weekly work schedules and preparing and reviewing reports.
• Enforcement of company and department policies and procedures with all security personnel, by way of documenting all violations, making corrective suggestions and reporting all personnel issues to the Security Manager.
• Maintain an accurate Daily Supervisors Log recording all events during the Security Supervisors shift and any other operational activities or concerns that the Supervisor has been made aware of. The log will be submitted to the Security Manager at the end of every shift.
• Assist in the professional development of the Security Leads and Security Officers and maintain a high standard of leadership within the security department.

·         Report all safety hazards and injuries to the Security/Loss Prevention Manager.

·         All other duties as assigned and needed.

·         All duties and responsibilities must be performed according to Pacific Park policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be available to stand for approx. 8 hours.
• Position requires constant lifting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, kneeling and crouching/ squatting and walking on uneven surfaces.

Location and Work Environment:

• This position is located in Santa Monica.
• Year-round weekend and holiday work is required.
• This is a full-time position and may require 40 hours/weekly.
• Employees work outdoors year round under varying weather conditions.
