JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Job Title: Hospice Account Executive
The Hospice Account Executive supports our mission by utilizing skills and knowledge to increase referrals and admissions through relationship development with referral partners in the professional medical community (hospitals, physician offices, long term care facilities). Develops, implements, and evaluates a market- specific territory plan. Acts as a liaison between Pacific Point Home Health and referral partners.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Increase patient referrals/admissions in assigned territory by marketing services hospitals, physician offices, and long-term care facilities. Meet individual and team admission goals. Initiates, builds, and maintains trusting relationships with existing and potential referral sources.
- Utilizes market data to develop a strategy for their region including identification of A, B & C accounts, referral sources, visit frequency, and call rotation.
- Meets individual (quota) goal which will be reviewed and adjusted accordingly.
- Complete routing plan and utilize data to organize and manage region, drive strategy and report progress.
- Support initiatives that impact referral & admission development. Enhance sales efforts by providing input into development of new tools and messaging to external audiences.
- Builds and maintains relationships with respective home health teams through attendance and participation in IDG meetings, and other team activities as appropriate.
- Acts as a liaison between external and internal customers. Identifies referral-related issues and performs follow-up.
- Remains knowledgeable of home health regulatory requirements. Stays well-informed of laws and regulations impacting referral partners’ use of home health services.
- Identifies educational opportunities relative to end-of-life care; assist with coordinating or delivering educational presentations to referral partners.
- Supports community outreach opportunities as appropriate.
- Present features and benefits of home health services, highlighting differentiators, asking probing questions, listening to service issues, handling objections, asking for the business.
- Utilize budget strategically: Report expenses.
- Joint market with field clinicians or clinical managers to leverage and build relationships with the medical community.
- Create physician to physician marketing plan to leverage Medical Director’s in building relationships with community physicians.
- Responsible participation and support the organization’s compliance activities and to take appropriate action in reporting issues related to compliance.
- Responsible to perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner that complies with the mission of the organization and the values.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age requirement of 18.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of Hospice marketing experience required.
- Ability to demonstrate positive sale results, excellent communications, and professional practices.
- Understanding of Hospice philosophy and principles.
- Valid Driver’s license and automobile insurance that is in accordance with state and/or Pacific Point Healthcare requirements.
- May be required to satisfy a criminal background, alcohol, and drug check.
