What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Banker position at Pacific Premier Bank?
The Business Banker is responsible for managing and developing banking relationships. The incumbent in this position will engage customers and prospects to open various business accounts and provide customers with banking solutions designed to meet their specific needs. This position will provide basic financial advice and education to customers on opportunities to utilize the Bank’s deposit and loan products and services to enhance their financial operations. The Business Banker will have minimum annual production targets of 7 million in new loan production and 3 million in new deposit production.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Effectively prospect for new business through the use of leads and cold calls.
- Meet face-to-face with business owners and senior executives to review and analyze their current business banking situation.
- Analyze customer loan and deposit needs and make recommendations.
- Proactively cross-sell business products and services.
- Effectively gather financial information and move a loan through the system from inquiry to closing.
- Actively monitor and manage existing portfolio to determine client needs are being met.
- Maintain and expand existing loan and deposit relationships with customers; attempt to retain deposit/lending relationships by engaging customers who are requesting to close their
- Build long-lasting
- Practice exemplary security and loss prevention skills to ensure that the Bank knows its customers, and that account information and applications are processed through approved screening and verification services provided by the Bank.
- Process any special handling requests for customers within reason and Bank policy.
- Manage an effective follow-up
- Generate correspondence (with managerial approval) in a professional manner where necessary.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with co-workers or employees in other departments of the Bank.
- 3 years of experience in sales, banking or lending
- Retail sales and service experience, including cash handling preferred
