What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Pacific Premier?
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for inputting and disbursing the Company's accounts payable invoices. Prepares and records journal entries. Responsible for complying with the Bank's established internal control over financial reporting ("ICFR") program, without exception.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews vendor invoices for proper approval and appropriate coding togeneral ledger accounts, cost centers and branches.
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing systemreports to invoices.
- Verify employee expense submission and process to appropriate general ledger accounts, cost centers and branches.
- Assist in paying leases and recording rent payments in proper periods.
- Maintains historical records by scanning and filing documents.
- Researches expense items upon request.
- Create new vendors and maintain existing vendors in the Accounts PayableSystem.
- Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ID numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchaseorder amendments.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and relatedtransactions; resolved vendor disputes.
- Reconcile assigned General Ledger accounts.
- Reports sales taxes by calculated requirements on paid invoices. Process annual Tax Form 1099-Misc.
- Retrieves and distributes Accounting Department mail.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base salary or pay for this position is $18.98 / hr to $25.31 / hr. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
