No CDL is required, and no prior hostler driving experience is necessary. You will be employed directly through Pacific Rail Services and will not be a railroad employee.

Compensation :
- $19.71 / hr (overtime rate is $29.57 / hr)
- Raise after 6 months to $20.23 and at 1 year, the rate is $21.58 / hr
Shifts :
- Shifts are eight hours with a mandatory four-hour holdover when necessary.
- We're currently hiring for the below shift start times :
- 6 pm shift & our 10 pm shift.
What You'll Do :
- This role combines the responsibilities of a Hostler Driver and Ground Person. You will learn to operate a jockey truck, maneuvering 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the rail yard.
- Engage in various ground duties, including climbing on and off railcars, securing tracks, and handling inner box connectors (IBCs).
- Assist crane operators with equipment loading and unloading using hand signals.
- Play a key role in stacking and unstacking chassis, as well as loading and unloading chassis racks.
- Fulfill other assigned duties in a dynamic and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications :
- No prior railroad experience is required. (Prior experience working outdoors, driving, or doing physical labor is preferred)
- Minimum age of 18 with a valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of a 7-year background check (Any felonies within the last 7 years, jail time or probation in the last 5 years or a history of criminal offenses could disqualify applicants)
- Ability to pass a drug test and a Physical Capabilities Test.
- No GED or diploma is required.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Applicants must currently live within a 45-minute commute of Harrisburg, PA; relocation candidates will not be considered.
