About Pacific Refugee Support Group

Pacific Refugee Support Group provides refugees and asylum seekers newly arriving in the Pacific Northwest the social capital necessary to transition into a successful life in the U.S. through our 5 focus areas Community Aid, Community Education, Community Legal Services, and Community Wellness. Each of these areas is strengthened by the volunteer and partner organizations fostered through our focus on Community Connections.

Community Connections - Perhaps the most essential support PRSG provides is connecting the newest members of our community to more established individuals – not only our own staff but volunteers and members of other organizations.

Community Legal Services - Our newest pillar! - The Community Legal Clinic (CLC) assists in bridging the fundamental gaps in Oregon’s immigration legal landscape by providing low-barrier legal support to migrants through Oregon’s burgeoning Universal Representation program.

Community Wellness - Supports the physical, mental, and emotional health of our community members. They provide healthcare navigation, hold workshops to teach community essential health skills and knowledge, and are the first point of contact for many of our community members.

Community Education - Offers support to the refugee community to increase access to each individual’s unique education and career goals, with a primary focus on youth advocacy and education, English language skills, digital literacy, and professional certification.

Community Aid - Focuses on direct assistance to the most vulnerable members of the refugee community through providing emergency financial funds, monthly goods donation bags, and economic mobility opportunities.

Pacific Refugee Support Group’s Mission and Vision

Mission - To re-empower refugees and asylum seekers through social support and education. We help our community members navigate a path to a successful life in the US.
