Role Overview
At our Westport location in Washington, this role centers on maintaining and troubleshooting advanced ammonia, HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration systems. From engaging in specialized technical duties like maintenance, calibration, installation, and repairs, your everyday work influences operational excellence and risk mitigation through adherence to IIAR, RETA, and PSM protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Functions: Efficient operation of ammonia, HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration systems. Prioritize preventive maintenance and rigorous documentation practices.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate effectively across teams and with external contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Communication Skills: Maintain clear, effective communication—both written and verbal—to support team collaboration.
- Safety and Compliance: Utilize PSM strategies to identify, reduce, and manage hazard risks, maintaining compliance and safety standards.
- Professional Development: Provide and participate in continuous training efforts for ammonia and refrigeration systems.
- Occasional Travel: Engage in travel along the West Coast, from Alaska to Oregon as needed.
Additional responsibilities may surface to support broader organizational goals.
Are You Equipped for Success?Required Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ direct experience with ammonia systems, including PSM compliance, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Equivalent education or certifications considered.
- Strong grasp of ammonia and refrigeration system components, including mechanical and electrical aspects.
- Must be 18 years or older, with the ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Proficient use of computer systems for data and system monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications from RETA, IIAR, or equivalent preferred.
- A deeper experience with boilers, air compressors, and large-scale industrial systems is advantageous.
- Base compensation of $20.08 to $27.41 per hour, with relocation possibilities for the right candidate.
