- Summary
Responsible for the end-to-end integrity, quality and usability of all master data throughout our organization. Establish a long-term strategic path to a comprehensive MDM approach and works with both end users, developers, and architects to allow the organization to effectively utilize master data across all enterprise systems and analytic tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promotes teamwork at all times.
- Architect and model master data elements across the Pacific Seafood enterprise applications
- Be an internal subject matter expert of our master data and its proper use throughout the enterprise.
- Work with our business process engineers to continually improve work instructions and best practices for the setup and maintenance of Master Data.
- Performs Master Data checking, analysis, validation and trending.
- Facilitate audits of master data, perform root cause analysis on repetitive problems/issues caused by master data and recommend sustainable solutions.
- Notify business users and others impacted by changes in master data, ensuring communication of impacts to upstream and downstream processes.
- Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as validating the processes to support the data quality.
- Proactively identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
- Educates and trains subject matter experts and data stewards, defines and implements data strategy, governance policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job.
- Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of experience in data analytics or a related data science field
Preferred:
- Experience with data bases, SQL Server, Reporting Services
- Experience working with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines in database warehousing and other relevant systems.
- Experience working with company hardware and software products to make sound financial recommendations.
- Experience working with information security practices and available security software packages.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Experience using ETL Tools and Processes.
- ERP experience, manufacturing and distribution preferred.

- Advanced understanding of data persistence systems
- Advanced understanding of data normalization and what role it plays in data quality.
- Ability to write simple and in-depth correspondence, and effectively present information to individual or small groups of customers, clients, or other team members.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
