Kwik Zip Graphics Field Installation Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Must work effectively in a team.
• Must be dependable as in being on time for traveling.
• Must be able to take directions when given by the field supervisor, Graphics Supervisor, and shop lead.
• Must always communicate effectively, professionally, and respectfully.
• Must not charge anything to hotel room service. Individual daily meal stipend is provided for travel.
• Must treat and maintain tools and equipment appropriately, report any malfunctions to the Field Supervisor.
• Must assist in loading the installation van with all necessary tools, materials, and equipment for the specific job using check off lists to ensure everything is accounted for prior to leaving the shop.
• Perform Installation of rail frames according to proper specs and measurements.
• Be able to pull banners on KZ rails without damaging the material.
• Must use the schematic provided during the application
• Be able to layout decals using roller or edge board, removing all air and water bubbles behind the decal.
• Visually inspects final install to verify a quality install – bubble and wrinkle free, to spec. and centered.
• Be able to cut decals out from sheet with scissors or safety blades without damaging the materials or self.
• Continually perform housekeeping of work area, removing and properly disposing of all trash.
• Adhere to all customer and PSC safety process and procedures by wearing all required PPE at each job site.
• Work in the graphic shop when no field installs are scheduled.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 0-1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Valid Oregon or Washington driver license with a clean MVR for the most recent 3-years is required. Each Field Installer is required to share driving responsibility to and from customer locations. Must be comfortable driving a service van while towing an enclosed cargo trailer.

• Must obtain a Non-DOT Medical Certification Card.

• Ability to use and read measuring tools and schematics with accuracy.

• Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

• Is consistently at work on time; arrives at meetings and appointments on time; adheres to lunch and break policies.

• Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

• Able to handle working in different weather conditions; climb ladders; and operate a manlift.

The KZ Installer is primarily responsible for installation of rail systems and banners for Kwik Zip systems on fleet customer trailers and box trucks, and when not in the field, this position they'll work in the shop assisting with vinyl wrap jobs. The KZ installer will travel on the road 75% of the year, during the week, to customer sites within the Oregon and Washington region, and on occasion travel may involve leaving or being away over the weekend. Our company is looking to hire (1) veteran skilled vinyl graphics field installer and (1) entry level vinyl graphics field installer. Both position are required to travel in the field a majority of their work week. All travel expenses are covered by the company, and transportation is supplied by the company.
