Responsibilities

• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and transportation activities
• Monitor vehicle locations to ensure timely deliveries
• Search for and secure freight shipments
• Input data into dispatch software to track shipments
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery status
• Collaborate with dispatchers to address any issues that arise during transport
• Help prepare and manage any necessary documentation for shipments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in transportation or logistics is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with dispatch software or willingness to learn
• Basic knowledge of transportation regulations and practices
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
