The Quality Team Leader position is located at PSC’s Leckron Plant. This role is responsible for leading a Quality team and executing safety, quality, service, performance and people objectives, including continuously developing the skill and abilities of the Quality Auditors. Collaborates with direct reports, peers across the manufacturing network as well as the site Operations Manager & VP, Quality & EH&S on activities that support quality and operational goals and objectives for the site, this includes leading continuous improvement initiatives and supporting key objectives for PSC all in a 24-hour, ISO 9001:2015 & 14001:2015 registered manufacturing environment

The Quality Team Leader position is located at PSC’s Leckron Plant. Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all PSC safety practices and company policies are being followed.
- Reduce process (administrative & manufacturing) variation.
- Lead and develop team members within the Quality department and provide feedback to Team Members of other departments when necessary.
- Supervise the quality control and statistical data collection activities of skilled auditors across three manufacturing shifts.
- Sets clear expectations and targets, leading high performing team; implements systems that deliver repeatable and reliable results.
- Coordinates proper staffing and training, leading team members and establishing a culture of continuous improvement to maintain industry leadership.
- Create environment and teaches team to anticipate problems before they arise. Supporting and at times, leading, root cause analysis when applicable.
- Coaches the team towards common objectives.
- Participates in one-on-one coaching, team meetings and interacts with frontline team members in a positive and motivational manner.
- Manage quality assurance activities (g.: CpK studies, MTBF, ANOVA & FMEA's) while supervising quality & environmental control activities (e.g.: ISO, SPC, product inspections, metrology, lab testing, internal audits & data collection).
- Communicate effectively with other Departmental Team Leaders and Facilitators.
- Confirm that all equipment is functioning properly and in a way that PSC Team Members can safely and efficiently operate it.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and the ability to pivot to another task/responsibility at moment’s notice.
- Supervise efficient operation of equipment including the inspection of materials, products, and equipment to detect and/or prevent malfunctions.
- Inspect and ensure product being produced conforms to customers specific requests and requirements when applicable.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods and enact other practices to further improve PSC’s lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be a servant-minded style leader by serving our Team Members and providing them with all the tools and coaching they need to safely and efficiently perform their job.
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field required.
- College level statistical proficiency is a plus-Basic SPC is mandatory.
- Member and holder of an ASQ Certification within 18 months of employment. A 6σ Green or Black (CSSBB) belt certification is a plus. Obtaining a 6σ Green or Black (CSSBB) belt certification once hired is mandatory. Environmental training will be provided.
- The successful candidate shall demonstrate above average knowledge of standard sampling systems (Dodge-Romig, C=0, Z1.4, Reduced, Tightened and etc.).
- Above average computer skills in order to design relational databases (MS Access) or design statistical spreadsheets (MS Excel). This data will allow extrapolation of pertinent quality data and convert that data into meaningful graphical formats (probability distributions, correlation analysis, etc.) that will assist PSC's continual improvement process.
- Previous hands-on ISO 9000 auditing / training experience is desired.
- Ability to successfully pass state required hazardous waste classes and in-house basic quality, paperboard, lithography, pre-press, and die cutting training.
- Prior experience in the Packaging Industry preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Specific visual abilities, including the ability to differentiate between and among various shades on the color spectrum, may be required based on the department/machine assignment.
