We are looking for a Manufacturing Assistant who can partner with our Operations team and other stakeholders within a plant, understanding operational needs and supporting strong safety, quality, customer orientation and productivity performance through completion of one's own standard work and driving action against operational needs and initiatives.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Print, prepare, and distribute production Hard Cards, COC's, and simple request forms to machine centers.
- Assist in inventory and ordering of production supplies for Manufacturing team, supporting Facilitators and Team Leaders, this includes generating and receiving PO's.
- Scan setup verification and art for approval. Must manually enter data such as (Job#, Order#, Spec#, etc.).
- Track, update, and post each facilities safety hours as well as other data as requested, in respective locations, this includes pallet inventory (weekly report) and production reports.
- Perform data entry and at times, data analysis as needed, this includes running reports that are being analyzed, including but not limited to the run pallet report.
- Order pallets as needed base don pallet demand from pallet report.
- Manage collection and filing of setup verification forms.
- File operational paperwork as requested, ensuring integrity of documentation controls.
- Responsible for communication of productivity goals as well as production and machine center schedules as required.
- Enable a culture of continuous improvement by managing Kaizen submittals and organizing Kaizen submittals and discussion topics for Operation's Kaizen meetings.
- Post the production reports such as daily production and throughput
- Responsible for AIB monthly walk-through scheduling, track findings, schedule findings review meeting, and manage the upkeep of binder and documentation.
- Support and sometime lead as necessary, customer and guest visits. This includes any actions prior to visit and then also, during day(s) of visit to ensure positive experience internally and externally.
- Prepare, procure, communicate and execute site-specific events and initiatives in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.
- Own plant and office team vendor relationships, managing relationship at the site level to ensure high stock levels and high quality, accurate service. Will also be responsible for reviewing invoicing for accuracy and approving invoicing.
- Assist production planner with daily work in progress priority list updates and as needed, back up production planner in their absence.
