What are the responsibilities and job description for the VISALIA Maintenance ElectroMechanic Trainee 3rd Shift position at Pacific Southwest Container?
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB : The Primary Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following :
- Perform Preventive Maintenance Tasks, including lubrication duties on all plant equipment.
- Provide assistance to other Maintenance- Electro Mechanics when 2 person jobs are required.
- Responds and Resolves maintenance calls on plant equipment independently when needed
- Provide parts support to Maintenance Electro-Mechanics.
- Work involves training under the supervision of Maintenance Electro-Mechanics in the maintenance and repair of equipment such as AC or DC motors, vacuum pumps, conveyors, aerators, compressors, gearboxes, blowers, and electrical system devices that are either AC or DC control systems including relays, contactors, power supplies, breakers, transformers, limit switches, photo eyes, and variable speed controllers.
- This position requires the ability to become forklift certified and Boom / Scissor lift certified.
- Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
SPECIAL EDUCATION SKILLS, TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB : This position requires an individual with mechanical and electrical aptitude and has the ability to work independently or as a member of a team. A track record of pursuing skills in Industrial Maintenance as well as some form of Maintenance Certificate from a vocational school or other California accredited college. Must take the PSC Electro-Mechanic evaluation test with a passing score to be considered.
