We are seeking an Applications Analyst to join a well-established nonprofit organization in the Roseville area. Key responsibilities include analyzing business and system needs, documenting processes, developing solutions, and testing applications, systems, websites, and databases. Pay: $40–$50/hour DOE.
The qualified candidate will have at least three years of experience as an Applications Analyst, along with certifications in Salesforce, ERP systems, and Microsoft 365 administration. Strong project management skills are also essential for success in this role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with team members to analyze and document business processes for both new and existing applications.
- Develop workflow diagrams to visualize process and data flows effectively.
- Identify resource requirements for project completion and application modifications.
- Maintain transparent communication with IT leadership and stakeholders regarding project statuses and issues.
- Ensure all application changes adhere to security best practices.
- Develop, customize, and maintain enterprise-wide and department-specific applications.
- Write code to create new applications or modify existing ones.
- Implement automated processes and generate reports to streamline operations.
- Execute standard testing procedures to validate that applications meet design specifications.
- Provide end-user support and track issues using ticketing tools.
- Investigate application issues and take corrective actions independently or in collaboration with team members.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on new or modified applications, utilizing developed training materials.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and recommend technologies to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Compile data to support budget justifications related to work assignments as required.
- Identify and propose new training opportunities and technologies to enhance the IT team's technical capabilities.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft tools.
- 3 years of experience working with Enterprise ERP and/or CRM platforms.
- Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator or Developer certification, ERP Administrator coursework or certification.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of project management concepts, including requirements documentation, timeline creation, and task management.
- Proficient in documenting system architecture, data models, and process workflows.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its application in designing, developing, testing, and implementing applications.
- Basic knowledge of enterprise security best practices for platform implementation and maintenance.
- Extensive experience with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, including writing and executing test scripts.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, particularly SQL.
- Experience in website development and coding.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Visio.
