Pacific Staffing is recruiting an experienced Communications Specialist to join an advocacy firm as a key member managing internal and external communications and media programs. Our client is a member-run association who believes in hiring hard-working and creative talent that compliments those of the executive leaders. This is an immediate opportunity #temptohire that is hybrid.
Pay range : $70k-100k DOE
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to advancing advocacy initiatives including union movements with demonstrated experience in strategic communication planning and implementation with strict deadlines. Prior experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Word Press required.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Writes, reviews, and edits weekly email newsletter to members
- Develops messaging consistent with organizational mission and priorities.
- Develop print and digital materials, including multi-media presentations for statewide events.
- Trains elected member leaders and active members for media interviews and other speaking engagements.
- Write press releases, op-eds, brochures, fact sheets, talking points, and other materials, in collaboration with the Communications team.
- Coordinates press interviews and media event logistics.
- Monitors and creates content for organization’s digital presence.
- Assist with mass email and text campaigns, including data and list management.
- Develops and maintains productive relationships with the officers, members, interns and staff.
