Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hot Kitchen Equipment Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of hot kitchen equipment in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves not only technical expertise but also strong customer service skills to educate clients and build lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing: Identify and analyze problems with hot kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, grills, and other related appliances. Develop and implement effective solutions to address issues promptly.
- Repairing: Perform repairs by replacing defective parts, components, and equipment. Ensure all repairs are conducted to meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintaining: Conduct routine maintenance on hot kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment as needed.
- Educating: Provide clients with comprehensive guidance on the proper use and maintenance of their equipment. Offer training and support to ensure they understand how to operate and care for their kitchen appliances effectively.
- Supporting: Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and building strong relationships. Provide ongoing support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of services performed, including repairs, maintenance, and inspections. Complete and submit detailed service reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Installing and Testing: Install new hot kitchen equipment and conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards. Make necessary adjustments and calibrations for optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a service technician or similar role, with a focus on hot kitchen equipment preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in repairing, maintaining, and installing kitchen equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to educate clients on equipment use and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Relevant certifications or technical training in equipment repair and maintenance is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment as needed.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including commercial kitchens.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, if required.
