Lead Service Technician – Commercial Kitchen Equipment
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with hot commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, warmers, and other related appliances. As a Lead Service Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the repair, maintenance, and installation of commercial kitchen equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. You will also take on a leadership role, supervising and training a team of technicians to ensure high-quality service standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of hot commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, grills, warmers, etc.)
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of technicians, ensuring they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their work effectively and safely
- Lead by example, providing technical guidance and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards
- Manage and prioritize service calls, ensuring timely and efficient completion of all work orders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and equipment status
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations
- Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in commercial kitchen equipment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience servicing and repairing hot commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and gas systems in commercial kitchen appliances
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience supervising and training technicians, with strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Certification in relevant technical fields (e.g., EPA, HVAC, etc.) is a plus
