We are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing and processing orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service
- Correctly completes applicable paperwork for order.
- Performs work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Operates a variety of equipment, which may include: forklifts, shear, press brake, torch, band saws, rebar bender, iron worker, overhead crane, and various hand tools.
- Actively participates in safety meetings, assists in training new employees, and assists other departments as necessary.
- Daily demonstrates commitment to be present and work all hours assigned.
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Complete daily logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Qualifications and Skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and maximum of 100 pounds occasionally, pushing and pulling up to 80 pounds, often gripping, squatting, bending, climbing, standing, walking, reaching, transferring, stacking and loading of steel products.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions with moderate levels of noise.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to perform math calculations
- Good work ethic, with a high level of honesty and integrity
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
