Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate CNC machines and other machining equipment to produce high-quality components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Perform basic math calculations to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Set up machines for production runs, including programming as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Work with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when necessary.
- Follow GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to maintain product quality.
- Use hand tools and lathe equipment effectively during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC operations.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
