Production Machine Operator/ Tube Laser Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and be proficient in operating various types of machinery. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Duties

• Operate CNC machines and other machining equipment to produce high-quality components.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Perform basic math calculations to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up machines for production runs, including programming as needed.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Work with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when necessary.
• Follow GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to maintain product quality.
• Use hand tools and lathe equipment effectively during the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC operations.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
• Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
