Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our weekday and/or weekend healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Responsibilities:
- Take vitals, measurements, and scribe
- Work when we have QME evaluations scheduled
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient evaluations
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing the patient experience
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Skills:
- Reasonable knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to accurately record patient information and maintain electronic health records
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Previous experience working in a medical or clinical setting is highly desirable
