Job Summary
SCA maintains of fleet of sweepers, dump trucks, flatbed trucks, pickup trucks, trailers, attenuators, and various other support equipment. The Yard worker is a valuable support role for our operations.
Job Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of trucks and support equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard.
- Power Washing assigned equipment and/or sites, as needed.
- Support mechanic with different tasks, such as getting parts.
- Inspect vehicle for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage.
- Valid Drivers License, Required.
- Clean Driving Record, Required.
- Mechanical aptitude and industry experience, Preferred.
- Desire to learn and advance into a mechanic or driver position.
- Regular Attendance, Required.
- Use all required PPE, Required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
- Ability to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs and bending as required.
- Moderate lifting - no greater than 50 lbs.; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping.
- Work performed in outdoor environments and exposure to variable and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
- Work in high noise environments with exposure to vibration and fumes
- May be exposed to solvents, chemicals, and refuse.
- May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks-CDL related.
