Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stacker to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently stacking and organizing products for distribution, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. This role requires the operation of various heavy equipment and adherence to OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and other heavy equipment to stack and organize products within the distribution center.
- Ensure that all materials are stacked securely to prevent damage during shipping and receiving processes.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate efficient order picking and ensure timely distribution of goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks as needed, ensuring accurate inventory management.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, as well as order picking techniques, will be beneficial.
- A valid forklift operator certification is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
