College of Arts & Sciences, Dean's Office, Berglund 207. The work is done in person on the Forest Grove campus.
Purpose of Position:
The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) seeks a student with Federal Work Study funding to assist in office tasks that involve a great deal of confidentiality. There will be weekly check-ins and supervision.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is a good fit for any student who is highly organized, who can apply a keen attention to detail, and has the ability to work independently in an office.
The CAS Office Assistant must be able to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality. Job Duties consist of providing customer service in the CAS Dean's Office, filing and renaming electronic documents; quality assurance of electronic records and other duties as assigned. Answer telephones as needed. Assist CAS Dean's Office staff with various projects and deliveries.
Assistance during the all day spring event, Senior Projects Day, is required.

- Basic computer skills required, organized, and take time to review your work. Familiarity with spreadsheets and databases including MS Excel/Google spreadsheets, MS Word/Google docs, and FileMaker is great; application training is provided, although basic typing and data entry skills are preferred.
- Reliable, friendly, and able to work with people. Self-motivated (ability to work independently when you know the job), ability to problem-solve and always willing to ask questions and receive feedback on work performance.
