General Description
The Director of CSD provides leadership, direction, and continuity for long-term planning and operational execution in educational, scholarship, and administrative activities for academic programs and on behalf of the students, staff, and faculty. The Director reports to and advises the Dean of the College of Education regarding the School.

Essential Functions / Primary Responsibilities
Leadership
- Establishes a positive and supportive environment for students, staff and faculty.
- Fosters commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility by creating and implementing a comprehensive diversity plan that includes actively recruiting and retaining diverse faculty, staff and students, and preparing all CSD graduates to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Facilitates a collaborative working environment through a commitment to shared governance.
- Serves as a member of the College of Education Leadership Team.
Personnel Supervision and Professional Development
Fiscal Responsibilities
Provide fiscal leadership and stewardship of resources including :
Assessment, Program Review, and Accreditation
Programmatic Infrastructure
Enrollment Management Recruitment and Program Growth
Supervisory Responsibility
The faculty and staff of CSD which currently includes 10 faculty (tenure track and clinical) and 2 staff.
