Job Summary
The Superintendent oversees field operations on remediation, demolition, and waste management projects, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all tasks. This role is critical in leading and coordinating field crews, managing equipment, and ensuring that all project aspects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards. The Superintendent works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed to the highest quality.

Duties
- Supervise and lead field crews on remediation, demolition, and waste management projects, ensuring that all work complies with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project specifications.
- Oversee and coordinate site remediation activities, including hazardous waste cleanup, underground tank removals, industrial cleaning, and site restoration.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, such as excavators, dozers, and loaders, in accordance with company safety protocols and project requirements.
- Ensure all demolition activities, including structure removal, hazardous material handling, and waste disposal, are performed safely and efficiently.
- Manage the daily operations of the job site, ensuring that tasks such as site preparation, grading, and excavation are completed in line with project plans and schedules.
- Review and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and safety plans to ensure proper project execution.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings, ensuring that all workers adhere to job-specific safety policies and guidelines.
- Monitor project progress, troubleshoot on-site issues, and resolve any safety, scheduling, or operational challenges.
- Maintain an organized and safe job site, ensuring equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and compliant with all safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to report on project status, change orders, and any adjustments required.
- Complete and submit daily reports, including change orders, safety documentation, and equipment rental reports.
- Manage waste handling and disposal, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of field supervision or crew leadership experience in remediation, demolition, and waste management projects.
- Strong experience with underground utilities, site grading, hazardous materials handling, and demolition activities.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
- In-depth understanding of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and environmental compliance related to remediation and demolition work.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, project plans, and safety documentation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage field crews and project operations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites, including out-of-town locations, as required.
