Overview

Branch Operations Specialists are primarily responsible for coaching and training the teller team to process transactions accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Branch Operations Specialists create a positive team environment in the banking center by modeling excellent customer service, and assist tellers by using in-depth policy and procedure knowledge to handle more complex transactions and issues. This position requires you to be a communicative leader, highly organized, and detail oriented in an office that exceeds $100 million in deposits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide teller supervision by monitoring performance relative to losses, differences and referrals. When appropriate, assists with coaching for improved performance.  
  • Approve customer and bank transactions within established limits, including Cashier’s Checks, wire transfers and deposit processing.
  • Ensure training and review of banking policies and procedures are being reviewed by staff
  • Perform daily and monthly audits and certifications.
  • Ensure Branch security including the security and accountability of all cash and negotiable items. Maintain appropriate branch and ATM cash limi
  • Have an advanced knowledge of and be a back-up to the new accounts positions. This requires handling all facets of new accounts, including opening accounts, superseding accounts and research projects.
  • Respond to emails, calls and other requests from back-office Operations and other business units.
  • Identify customer needs and refer financial products and servic
  • Perform other duties as assign

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three to five years of recent experience working in a commercial bank and at least one year experience at a branch that exceeds $100 million in deposits
  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of Bank Operations including Teller and New Accounts
  • Be a team player as well as an effective team leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Superior customer service skills

Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree or higher

Physical Requirements:

  • Role requires sitting or standing in front of a computer monitor for prolonged periods of time in a fixed neck position.
  • Constant use of a computer or other office equipment resulting in repeating motions of the hands and wrists.
  • Light work that may include moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Rewards

National Base Pay Range (annual):  $44,582.83 to $75,924.14

Final salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with geographic/market data.
