What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Director Behavioral Health Services position at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley?
With dual reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Nursing Officer, the ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES is a member of the Hospital’s Leadership Team with responsibility for assuring provisions of effective, high quality patient care within the Behavioral Health service line (inpatient and outpatient). The ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES develops and maintains an environment that supports excellence in clinical nursing practice and is accountable for managing human, fiscal and other resources to assure quality and effective patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- 24-hour responsibility for the overall nursing management of the department / unit
- Develops, utilizes, and manages an appropriate number of qualified staff to provide competent, compassionate, efficient, and professional care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings
- Recommends and implements changes necessary for a positive work environment
- Working with leadership, develops and implements the mission, objectives, policies and standards for nursing care within Behavioral Health Services
- Ensures that nursing practice goals meet changes within the healthcare environment
- Ensures appropriate staffing meeting the requirements of Title 22
- Forecasts short and long-term goals relative to the Behavioral Health systems and operations to ensure consistency with Pacifica Hospital of the Valley’s overall strategic plan
- Works with senior leadership team in developing programs to strengthen behavioral health services to the community.
