What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Plant Operations position at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley?
The DIRECTOR PLANT OPERATIONS / FACILITIES MANAGEMENT will provide leadership, direction and management of the physical plant, maintenance, grounds, and safety ensuring services, repairs and maintenance necessary for the safe and efficient operations of the Hospital.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures proper operation and maintenance of hospital building, grounds and equipment.
- Assess compliance with Life Safety Code – completing Statements of Condition (SOC) and managing resolution of deficiencies.
- Ensures preventative and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Maintains records and documentation required by all regulatory and accreditation agencies as well as good engineering practices.
- Maintains all aspects of the hospital-wide safety programs.
- Oversees construction/renovations project, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree or equivalent, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred
- Five (5) years progressive plant operation / facilities management experience in an acute care environment
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding Plant Operations / Facilities Management (Title 22, TJC, OSPHD, OSHA, NFPA, SCAQMD, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Working level knowledge of computer systems (including Microsoft Office)
- Demonstrated management, administrative, planning and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication (written / verbal) skills
- Excellent organizational skills
