What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative Nurse Assistant position at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley?
As a member of the resident care team, the primary role of the RESTORATIVE NURSING ASSISTANT is to assist residents to participate in tasks that restore, improve or maintain functions to the highest degree practical in accordance with the resident’s assessment, care plan as directed by a licensed therapist.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Carrying out individual restorative programs designed by the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Recreational Therapist or Speech Pathologist.
- Communicating observations of residents’ condition, preventing residents’ neglect, abuse and violations of rights and privacy and promoting continuity of care through accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
- Providing active and passive range of motion exercises and providing proper body positioning in bed.
- Providing input to the residents’ plan of care.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Six (6) months prior experience as a Restorative Nursing Assistant or subacute, SNF or long-term care SNF environment
- Valid RNA Certification and BLS required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills required
- Ability to speak, read and write English
