POSITION TITLE
The Administrator job description will provide the scope for the facility.

POSITION SUMMARY :
The Administrator is responsible for planning and is accountable for all activities and departments of the Facility subject to rules and regulations promulgated by government agencies to ensure proper health care services to residents. The Administrator administers, directs, and coordinates all activities of the Facility to assure that the highest degree of quality of care is consistently provided to residents.
POSITION RELATIONSHIP
Collaborates with all departments and the governing body, physicians, consultants, and the IDT in assessing needs and providing education to the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
PROFESSIONAL
1. Excellent interpersonal skill and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
2. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies, and he / she must have a working knowledge of all government regulations impacting Nursing Facilitys.
3. General knowledge of accounting principles and practices and a comprehensive knowledge of employee practices and standards.
4. Thorough knowledge of administrative management techniques, supervisory practices, procedures and principles. Administrators must be licensed according to state regulations and must attend continuing education as required.
5. This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
6. On-call availability for Facility as needed.
7. Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy. TSTs will be administered at the work site if required.
PERSONAL

2. Must have knowledge and awareness of the care needs of the elderly and / or chronically ill.
3. Must have knowledge and ability to teach adult learners.
4. Must have basic computer skills.
PERFORMS RELATED DUTIES :
1. Interacts with customers, families, visitors, facility and Reliant subsidiary personnel;
2. Carries out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention / participation may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES :
1. Implements facility’s objectives as determined and directed by the governing body;
2. Interprets personnel practices within policy guidelines and recommends changes as necessary;
3. Puts customer service first :
a. Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;
4. Meets with licensing authorities as required and accompanies them throughout any survey of the facility;
5. Ensures the credentialing process is completed for all Licensed Independent Practitioners providing services in the Facility;
6. Authorizes purchases of equipment within budgetary guidelines established by the governing body;
7. Superintends physical operations of the Facility;
8. Promotes favorable public relations and represents the Facility in the community as required;
9. Develops and maintains positive relationships with residents, relatives, and employees;
10. Serves as consultant on admission and discharge of residents;
11. Concerns his / herself with the safety of all Nursing Facility residents in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents. Also ensures that the Facility adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire, and sanitation codes by being familiar with his / her role in carrying out the Facility’s fire, safety and disaster plans by being familiar with current MSDS;
12. Oversees and guides department managers in the development and use of departmental policies and procedures;
13. Reviews and evaluates the work performance of assigned personnel as well as counsel / discipline assigned personnel according to established company personnel policy;
14. Conducts all relevant committee meetings as required.
15. Interviews and hires department heads and other staff positions within the Facility as necessary;
16. Confers with consultants to various departments concerning problem areas and available solutions; follows through on quarterly reports from consultants;
17. Monitors financial reports and information of the Facility and reports to the governing body; implements corrective action and budgetary constraints as required;
18. Oversees and assists in the preparation of annual budgets for each department;
19. Performs all other duties as requested.
