The Mission Equipment Technician (MET) will provide quick response to customer request for product support. Position may be considered a safety-sensitive position depending on business area requirements.
What you get to do :
- Primary Mission Equipment (PME) installation and support.
- New PME technology and equipment integration and testing.
- System and device troubleshooting and problem evaluation, including the production of troubleshooting guides and checklists.
- Perform and / or support the necessary rework or repairs required to return the equipment to functional status.
- Perform configuration management as directed by company policy and / or the customer.
- Generate reports and work in conjunction with the Configuration Manager to update / track the configuration status of the fielded units.
- Associates Degree or four (4) years Military experience is preferred.
- Academic training and certification in airborne sensor operation is highly valued and weighted.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience is required.
- Must be experienced with lab equipment including but not limited to; DVM, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Power Meters, Frequency Synthesizers, Network and Spectrum Analyzers.
- Must be capable of electro-mechanical assembly and be capable of meeting documented equipment standards.
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal, for report preparation and customer interface.
- Must be able to perform assigned tasks related to this level of expertise with minimal supervision.
- Preferred experience as an Airborne Sensor Operator (ASO), Mission Systems Operator (MSO), or Tactical Sensor Operator (TSO) on an ISR platform.
- Preferred experience performing maintenance on Full Motion Video, EO / IR, or RADAR systems and sub components.
- Preferred experience maintaining and configuring line-of-sight / beyond-line-of-sight voice, data and video communications systems.
- Preferred experience maintaining and configuring Aircraft Survivability Equipment and systems.

Physical Demands
Work Environment
May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions and rudimentary infrastructure. Long hours, personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Travel
Travel could require up to 25%-30% OCONUS or CONUS.
