The Epic Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program’s operational and clinical reporting needs by leveraging Epic’s reporting tools and databases. This position ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and actionable reports that drive decision-making and improve workflows for clinical, financial, and operational teams. The Epic Reporting Analyst collaborates with end-users to understand reporting requirements, develop solutions, and support data-driven decision-making within the organization. The Epic Reporting Analyst acts as the primary support contact for Epic reporting tools, including Clarity, Reporting Workbench, and Radar, ensuring compliance with regulatory and PACE program standards. They perform workflow analysis, troubleshoot issues, and manage requests for operational and clinical reports. By maintaining a deep understanding of Epic applications and their integration with organizational workflows, the Epic Reporting Analyst ensures reporting solutions align with strategic goals and enhance overall system efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design operational and clinical reports that meet organizational and departmental needs.
- Develop and maintain reports using Epic’s reporting tools, such as Reporting Workbench, Radar, and Clarity, to support daily operations and long-term objectives.
- Conduct workflow analysis to ensure reporting solutions align with clinical and operational processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, escalating complex issues to technical teams or OCHIN as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational reporting requirements, including HIPAA and other data privacy standards.
- Provide training and support to end-users on accessing and interpreting reports.
- Monitor data integrity and quality to ensure reports provide accurate and actionable insights.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, and new feature rollouts by testing and validating reporting functionalities.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical, and operational teams to optimize reporting processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including report specifications, workflows, and user guides.
- Participate in governance committees and workgroups to represent reporting needs and ensure alignment with best practices.
- Support the PACE program’s strategic goals by delivering reporting solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to system performance and reporting metrics in collaboration with IT infrastructure and operational teams.
- Maintain strong working relationships with end-users and cross-functional teams to enhance reporting success.

SUCCESS PROFILE
Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare environment which includes clinical, operational, or IT settings. At least two (2) years of experience with Epic reporting tools, such as Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Radar, or other Epic reporting modules. A background in data analysis or business intelligence is preferred.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field required, or equivalent years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree required. Epic Clarity Data Model Certification is highly desirable.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Epic reporting tools (e.g., Clarity, Reporting Workbench, Radar). Proficiency in SQL for querying Epic’s databases, particularly Clarity. Understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows, including inpatient, ambulatory, and operational processes. Ability to ensure data integrity and accuracy in reporting. Knowledge of data quality best practices to maintain consistency across datasets. Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations affecting data reporting. Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements in healthcare. Familiarity with the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program and its unique operational and reporting requirements. Ability to design, develop, and customize operational and clinical reports based on user needs. Strong understanding of data visualization techniques to create actionable insights. Knowledge of workflow analysis to optimize reporting processes and improve efficiency. Ability to manage change by implementing new reporting solutions within existing workflows. Basic understanding of project management to manage report cycles and deadlines. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with end-users and IT teams. Understanding of Epic system integration with other healthcare platforms to support cross-system reporting needs.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
