Job Summary:
Pack It Ship It is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused retail associate to join our team at a versatile retail store offering a wide range of services. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service, pack various items, manage shipping services through FedEx, UPS, and USPS, assist with mailbox rentals, and handle various other duties including printing, copying, gift wrapping and notary services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping Services: Assist customers with shipping packages through FedEx, UPS, and USPS, providing guidance on the best options and rates for their needs
- Packing: Provide professional packing services, ensuring that items are securely packaged for shipping, including fragile and oversized items
- Mailbox Rental: Manage mailbox rentals, including customer sign-ups, renewals, and mailbox access
- Printing & Copying: Provide high-quality printing and copying services
- Notary Services: Offer notary services, ensuring all legal documents are properly notarized according to state laws
- Gift Wrapping: Provide professional gift-wrapping services for customers
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable assistance to customers. Resolve any issues or concerns to ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Cash Register & Payment Processing: Process transactions efficiently, including cash, credit, and debit payments
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and well-stocked. Help maintain the overall appearance and orderliness of the store
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to provide excellent service and meet store goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy items
- Must be able to handle moderate physical activity such as stocking, cleaning, and arranging merchandise.
- Previous experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with computers and basic office equipment
- Strong research skills needed to advise customers on shipping and customs restrictions for their items to various countries
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and eagerness to assist customers
- Spanish fluency a plus but not required
- Ability to lift heavy packages and items
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
