What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Operations Coordinator position at Pack & Paddle Expedition Co?
We are searching for a very part-time operations coordinator/administrative assistant to assist with all areas of this business.
This will a mix of mostly remote work, with some in-person work sessions and potential client meetings. There will be a heavy focus on marketing and sales, including social media channel development.
Your role will be to assist with:
- Primary role: Sales & Marketing (blogging, YouTube and TikTok channel development, etc).
- Bookkeeping (potentially)
- Operations
- Contractor management
- Scheduling
- Customer Service
- Administrative Work
Our business is varied, you'll be working with the following projects:
- Pack & Paddle Expedition Co is a parent company of a few different projects, all outdoors-related. Over time, we'll be launching some wilderness medicine training options, and tours and expeditions.
- Our subsidiary websites: gopackandpaddle.com, fly fishing gear brand: bivvycreek.com, and Compass Rescue.
- Our focus is on building Compass Rescue. Our services include wilderness and medical education, standby medical services, event medical staffing, and adventure guiding. Having experience and/or interest in those areas will be immensely helpful.
- There may be some opportunities for additional work as an EMT-B or EMR.
Compensation can include commission and bonuses.
Work will be done mostly remotely, however regular in person meetings in the Grand Rapids area will be required. Some trade show attendance will also be required. As revenue grows, this role will increase in hours and compensation. While remote, being in the West Michigan area is required.
