Summary of Position:
The General Laborer position is responsible for performing general labor tasks within the production area and can assist wherever there is a need, e.g., foam, carton, shipping and receiving, etc. The incumbent also works pulling orders, stocking products, and completing necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. The incumbent will work in a team environment where safety is the top priority.
Essential Functions:
- Understanding all training and safety instructions associated with the process the employee is assigned to perform.
- Following shipping and receiving paperwork.
- Collecting and loading stock in a manner that prevents breakage.
- Completing and submitting all necessary documentation.
- Following job instructions as posted at warehouse office or in Document Control Center.
- Pulling of orders to be shipped and completing all necessary paperwork.
- Receiving and putting away of product and completing all necessary paperwork.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or GED
- Clean New York State driver's license - needed if assigned to be a backup delivery driver
- Ability to provide successful completion of current DOT physical exam - needed if assigned to be a backup delivery driver
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand and power jacks
- Forklift Certified preferred
- Good time management skills
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and identify part numbers for order pulling
- Proven work experience as a warehouse worker
- Proficiency in inventory software
- Prior corrugated experience preferred
- Good organizational skills
